Water Edges
Bath House on River Kelvin
Bath houses use water, drawn from rivers indirectly, processed. To echo the city strategy of “healing by nature”, the project reviews the conversation between a bath house and nature. Water is seen as the language of this “talk”. Water in River Kelvin flows fast through irregular winding path carrying leaves from trees, while that in bath houses is comparatively calm, well controlled, filtered and heated. The project tries to bring them close to each other and the edges between them are minimized. Immersed in the warm bath, users are encouraged to experience water of different “states” and re-think their relationship with nature.
