This project focussed on the key issue of Glasgow as a 'disconnected city', the M8 completely bulldozes through its heart. Looking at the history of film and how this part of society can unite people, a tower was born which acts as a beacon of light in the centre of Charing Cross. The base contains the most public part with a market, encouraging a community sense. The middle contains the cinemas with a view out to the north. And the top is the crown of the tower, with a special moment in the rooftop bar. This area now has a sense of destination, acting as a crossing point between the city centre and continuing on to the west end.
