M8

Drive through the city on flyovers and you did not see the city. It could have been any city in the world.

Experiencing Glasgow cannot happen in a speeding car on the M8 motorway. Glimpse of the city from the window are views of fractions of the city. You cannot see its people, hear their ascents, see her city's historic sites or appreciate its architecture of old. You see tall, modern, blank buildings, built with little recognition of the city in context.

You’ll miss the little aspects of the city that are seen on the ground, you are blind to her arts, culture, her developing plans and the ‘true’ Glasgow.

Drive through a city on flyovers and you see no city at all.
