Journey of Freedom

Restraint, constraint, isolated, it has been two years since the outbreak of diseases. People urgently want to break through the law of restriction from global pandemic . What is the negative impact the disease had on us? The picture I captured shows a series of striking events that happened occasionally in Glasgow.

As a foreigner in Glasgow, I had known that Glasgow is well known for the slogan " People Make Glasgow". The people of Glasgow are at the heart of this brand. It represents the distinctive identity of people from Glasgow which is bold, friendly, confident and it evokes a sense of pride for them. Hence, while the world is grappling with the devastating effects of the pandemic , social distancing has disconnected the world from socialising with each other physically. The outrage and anger of people had transformed into words and actions, striking to set them free.

Is Glasgow still considered Glasgow without people? The face nappies we had on our faces inhibited the capability to perceive a lot of social information of the utmost relevance for everyday interactions across several social contexts. The sense of pride in people interacting with each other, to travel around the world has been neglected. After all, humans are meant to have the special rights of freedom, free speech and being allowed to make our own decisions about our lives.
