Having now completed my third year as an Architecture student, I feel my time at university has allowed me to explore and develop my interests. To me, Architecture is a powerful medium that allows me to explore issues and topics I find interesting in great detail, through the creative lens of the built environment.

This year, my two main projects are very different. However, both look at subject matter that is important to me.

'To Live/Work' explores the issues faced by asylum seekers in Glasgow. The design considers how to help residents integrate into the city whilst they are unable to work as well as how to design family homes that allow residents to regain a sense of place.

'To Play' addresses Glasgow's club scene. By tracing the Pipe Factory's rich history through form, the design creates production and performance spaces that are unique to the site. Education, production and performance spaces are combined to repair Glasgow’s relationship with club culture as a respected form of culture.
